Trailhead Newsletter is the controller of personal data collected via our Trailhead websites: Trailhead Central and Trailhead Ireland.

Where we got your contact details
Our subscription list currently comes from sign-ups on our other Trailhead sites, Trailhead Central and Trailhead Ireland, where users join as a Discount Member with the understanding that they will receive newsletters in return. This is prominently displayed during the sign-up process.
What data we collect
Newsletter sign-up data: name, email address and postal address.
Website usage data: analytics events (e.g., pages visited, time on page) via Google Analytics, collected only after you consent to analytics cookies.
Cookie preferences: your choices from the cookie banner/preferences centre.
Technical/server logs: IP address, browser/user-agent, timestamps (for security/maintenance).
Correspondence: messages you send us by email or through forms.
We do not intentionally collect special category data. Please avoid sending sensitive information.
Why we process your data (purposes) & lawful bases
Send you the Trailhead Newsletter (delivered via Brevo): Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails. We may keep a minimal record of your email on a suppression list to honour your opt-out (legal obligation/legitimate interests).
Analytics to improve the site (Google Analytics): Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Analytics only loads if you opt in.
Respond to enquiries (email/forms): Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating and improving our services, or Consent where applicable.
Security & anti-abuse (server logs): Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Newsletter data (Brevo): kept until you revoke your Trailhead Discount Membership.

You have rights under the GDPR, including to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
